Darius J. Mozaffarian

Mr. Mozaffarian is President of White Oak Global Advisors, overseeing the investment teams that originate and structure new transactions for its private debt funds.
Professional background
He joined White Oak in May 2008, became a Partner in 2010 and joined the Investment Committee in 2014. He was Head of Originations from 2010 to 2017 before becoming Co-President. He is also a member of the Association for Corporate Growth and the Turnaround Management Association.
At Goldman, Sachs & Co., Mr. Mozaffarian worked in the investment banking division’s leveraged finance group. His work covered sponsor and management buyouts, in- and out-of-court corporate restructurings, and rescue financings in the leveraged loan and high-yield bond markets.
He also worked at Telephia, Inc., a division of Nielsen, advising national wireless operators on their product offerings and competitive positioning. At Microsoft Corporation, he worked in new business development, considering acquisition targets, joint venture partnerships and licensing agreements.
Education and qualifications
Mr. Mozaffarian received an MBA from the Haas School of Business and a B.S. in Industrial Engineering & Operations Research and a B.A. in Economics from the University of California at Berkeley. He rowed on Berkeley’s Men’s Heavyweight Crew team from 1995–1996. His professional qualifications include Series 7 and 63 designations from FINRA.
