Ms. McKee is a Partner and Senior Managing Director at White Oak Global Advisors. She has served as co-portfolio manager and a member of White Oak’s Investment Committee since 2007, following a career in debt investing and finance law.
Professional background
As part of the team that founded KKR Financial LLC, Ms. McKee served as Senior Vice President and concurrently as General Counsel of KKR Financial Corp. (NYSE: KFN). She played a key role in structuring and implementing debt investments.
Before KFN, she was Senior Counsel and a senior member of the Securities and Investment Group at Wells Fargo Bank, N.A. That group structured and implemented the debt investment platform for the bank’s proprietary capital and investment accounts.
Her earlier legal roles included Acting Deputy General Counsel for the finance and derivatives departments of Deutsche Bank AG in New York and Frankfurt; structured finance and bankruptcy attorney at Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom in New York and Tokyo; and finance, bankruptcy and distressed asset attorney at Sidley Austin.
Education and qualifications
Ms. McKee holds a J.D. from the University of Chicago, an M.A. in Comparative Literature from the University of California at Berkeley and a B.A. with a double major in Economics and Comparative Literature from Yale University. She is a member of the State Bars of New York and California.
